I am a senior reporter for JTA, where I cover antisemitism, higher education, Jewish institutions and other topics. I have been a member of JTA’s editorial team since 2021. My reporting on the Jewish communal reaction to the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks and Israel’s war in Gaza has been honored by the American Jewish Press Association and recognized by national news outlets.
Prior to JTA I was the editor of the Detroit Jewish News and a reporter for Current, which covers public media.
Outside of JTA I also produce podcasts, including the series “Radioactive: The Father Coughlin Story” and episodes of “99% Invisible,” and contribute film criticism to NPR. I’m based in Michigan, where I am an avid biker in the warmer months and Scrabble player in the colder ones. Sometimes I play the trombone.
