Ruth Marks Eglash is an award-winning veteran journalist who has been covering Israel and the region for more than 25 years.
She spent eight years as the Jerusalem correspondent for The Washington Post and has also reported for Fox News Digital, Jewish Insider, and Agence France-Presse. Ruth was the editor of The Jerusalem Report magazine before joining JTA as its Senior Israel Correspondent.
Previously, Ruth has freelanced for a wide range of international media outlets, including UK newspapers The Times, The Daily Express, and American outlets USA Today and Hadassah Magazine.
Ruth published her debut novel, Parallel Lines, in June 2023.
Born and raised in London, Ruth lives just outside of Jerusalem with her husband and pet Shih-Tzu, Kylie.
